Thank You Card

Here is an A2 size thank you card I made today.  I used the Cricut "Just Because" Cards Cartridge for the watermelon.  The black loops were made with a border punch from Martha Stewart.  I pop dotted the watermelon for some added dimension and used the Gina K Designs Bow Easy to make the bow.  This is the neatest template and it makes prefect bows every time!

Fruit Note Cards

I fell in love with all the cards made with the Cricut Preserves cartridge so of course I purchased the cartridge. The cards are an A2 size. I put them in the clear box that I purchased from Gina K Designs and gave them as a gift for Christmas.  The quotes are the Fruit and Veggie Puns Stamps from My Pink Stamper.  The paper for some of the cards was the Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety collection and the main inspiration for these cards was Everyday Cricut's Strawberry Card. The card's with the captions are the blogs where I scrap-lifted them. The inside of each card is blank.  I hope you enjoy!

Party Invitation

Here is a party invitation I made for a friend's dinner party!  The white card slides out and gives all the party particulars. Her favorite cocktails are white wine and cosmopolitans, so I thought I would incorporate them into the invitation. There is a layer of vellum over each glass giving it the frosted glass look.  The paper I used is from "The Best of K&Company."

A few more cards

Here are a few more cards I have made. The top right one was a masculine birthday card. I find that I am always at a loss when it comes to making cards for men.

Paper Bag Album

I made this paper bag album for my dear sister Terry, out of love for her dog Katie that passed away this summer.  I wanted my sister to have a special keepsake of her best friend so I decided to try my hand again at making a paper bag album. The paper I used was "The Pets Stack" by DCWV and some of the Max and Whiskers collection.  I cut the tags with the Cricut "Preserves" cartridge and most everything else with "Paper Pups." The bow on the front cover was a piece of Katie's blanket.  I used many of Robyn's techniques @ http://injoystampin.com/videos for this album.  Robyn's tips are awesome and her videos are so helpful.   Thanks Robyn!
I decided that I would video record the album but now realize I need a lot more practice!  I need to learn to keep my hands out of the picture and figure out who is the person speaking in the video......Is that me????  Oh well, not too bad for my first attempt.  I hope you enjoy the album.

Page Layout

I made this scrapbook page for my friend's 50th Birthday.  The party theme was pink and fabulous!  The black dress is velvet paper and I put Glossy Accents on the shoe to give it the patent leather look.  I think this was the first page I ever made for someone else.  I actually found it to be easier making the page than building the page around the photo.  Maybe that's the idea! LOL

Lunch Invite

I wanted to surprise my friend with a lunch invite, so I created this card for her.

Introduction

Hello my name is Donna!  Today is the very first day of my Blog. I would like to start out thanking all the wonderful Paper Crafters who share their work and files with everyone.  Each and everyone of you have inspired me to branch out and try new things.  I have been scrapbooking on and off for several years now. Three years ago I received my Cricut Expression for Mother's Day and have been hooked ever since.  I have one problem though......I tend to over think everything!  This of course makes my projects and scrapbook page creations become rather time consuming.  So I have found myself being a "Scrap-Lifter!" Everyone of you have been so kind as to share your work which has really helped my cause!  Once I reproduce something, my creativity expands.  When I post my projects, I will try and remember who and where I might have Scrap-lifted the project.  However, if I fail to mention you, please know that I am very very thankful for you sharing your creativity and inspiring me!
